56th Grammy Awards.. Who wore what.!!

The Grammy Awards red carpet lost its edge in 2014, in spite of there being no wardrobe advisory issued this year. It was the same fairytale frou-frou and high-octane shine seen at every other awards show, and not the boundary pushing fashion that one of the world’s biggest music awards show has become known for.

Although Beyoncé skipped the red carpet to open the show, after her performance she treated the photographers gathered outside to a spectacular Michael Costello couture gown with white floral overlay on nude sheer fabric.

Katy Perry in Valentino Couture

Katy Perry brought her unique brand of whimsy to the event. The ‘Roar’ singer wore white, the dominant colour this evening. Her Valentino Couture design was a confection of diaphanous tulle printed with musical notes.

Paris Hilton followed the white theme in a risqué dress by House of Milani that featured nude panels on the back and along the side.

Double nominee for ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Best Pop Solo Performance’, Sara Bareilles chose a Blumarine spring 2014 dress embellished with tufts of white threads.

The Grammys and the MTV VMAs are the two music awards where bold fashion is appreciated. But while Madonna gave a glimpse of costume drama in a Ralph Lauren suit, the OTT stylings of Rihanna.
Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga were missed.

The colors of fall-winter 2013/2014 fashion season

Navy Blue

We were crazy about cobalt for a few seasons now, and this fall, blue brings another star into the top trends: navy blue. Don’t worry, you can still keep your cobalt clothing pieces, they’re still in style, but in the fall-winter 2013/2014 season you can diversify and introduce the dark, intense, classic but spectacular navy blue. Many famous designers, such as Nina Ricci, Calvin Klein, Chloe and Hermes have introduced this colour on the runway.

The color is full of personality, so you can wear it from head to toe but you can also choose an oversized navy blue coat or navy blue accessories.

Pink is the new obsession

Designers have borrowed one of summer’s favorite color and put it on the fall runway – this is now pink became one of this seasons’ celebrities. Whether you decide to go with the berry shade like in the DNKY collection or with the dusty pink like in the Carven or Marc Jacobs collections, you’re definitely going to be in style this fall.

Ecru is the new white

We’re all used to white being the center of attention in the fall-winter season, but this year we’re going to experience a new superstar among the colors – ecru. It’s soft; it gives you a feminine air and instant confidence. You can find inspiration in collections from Nina Ricci, Elie Saab, Valentino or Stella McCartney.

50 shades of neutrals

Neutrals are still in and it seems like they’re more creative than ever, coming with new shades and giving designers a new perspective. This season it’s all about grey and nude beige, whether you wear them from head to toe or combined with strong, powerful colours like cobalt, pink and emerald green or with classics such as black or white.

Emerald green

We usually choose green in the lively spring-summer season, to feel like waking up from the winter hibernation and to connect with nature. This season designers thought we should affront the cold and choose a powerful shade – emerald green. This color will give you elegance, calm and distinction. You definitely have to add it to your wardrobe.

Year 2014.. Say Goodbye to your old fashion job attire.

Year 2014 has started and we have moved on to another level of Fashion this year.. You must make sure that wherever you are whether in any party, function, home, or at your work place, you should look great because the first impression a prospective employer has of you should not be just a good one, but, a great one. The candidate dressed in a suit, with a coordinated shirt or blouse, conservative shoes, a professional hairstyle, and limited jewelry and perfume, will make the best impression.. Similarly an Employer who look smart and well dressed becomes more famous and powerful among his/her colleges..

People will want to work with you by just looking at you for the first time.. If you are going to give an interview  you must wear something that will leave good effects on the employer. What’s the appropriate dress code for an interview? You’ll want that first impression to be not just a good one, but, a great one. In general, the candidate dressed in a suit and tie is going to make a much better impression than the candidate dressed in scruffy jeans and a t-shirt.

No one will appreciate this looking candidate to attend large business meetings in their company:
